An Unusual Friendship by ~beebecca

A hedgehog rolling on a ball and hanging out with a cuttlefish in a tank.

This idea came about when I did some research to see if my college dorm allowed any pets. I already knew it only allowed fish, but I wanted to check. I read: "Q: Can I have pets in the residence halls? A: Pets are not permitted, with the exception of Seeing Eye dogs and non-poisonous fish. Fish tanks are limited to 50 gallons or less in size." I thought it was hilarious that it said "non-poisonous fish."

I wondered if anyone had brought a poisonous fish to campus before, hence them feeling the need to write that. So I started thinking about weird pets to have in a college dorm.
The pet I really wanted to get was a hedgehog. Then I remembered how I would love to have a cuttlefish too. I thought about how funny it would be if it was possible for me to bring these two pets to college with me. I bet they would be good friends.
